General Information
The Cybersilhouette is published by publication students at Garden City Community College. Our regular publication, The Silhouette, is distributed every other Thursday on campus and throughout the community during the academic year (August through May).
Silhouette staff members are responsible for covering various campus and community events including:
* club and organization activities, events and awards
* student, faculty and staff features
* entertainment reviews
* opinions
* original art and photographs
Silhouette staff members enroll in one-credit hour Journalism newspaper production courses each semester. They have an opportunity to learn about the various aspects of newspaper publishing from reporting to design. Staff members need not have prior journalism experience, however, they must have a strong desire to contribute to an award-winning publication.
The Silhouette earned a Silver rating in April of 2004 from the Kansas Associated Collegiate Press.
