They first stopped the 30-year-old Norwegian for speeding on E18 motorway heading for Norway and found he was over the alcohol limit.

When he left the police station, he got back in his car and drove off but was spotted on CCTV cameras and arrested again.

Police took his car from him but later released it when the man returned with a friend who he said was going to drive the car, reports Nettavisen.

Half an hour later, the police received new reports of a speeding car on the E18 to Norway and found the man was back in the driving seat and still over the limit.

The man faces three charges of drunken driving, two of speeding and one of illegal and reckless driving.
