Woman strikes back

At the 1996 Olympics, the competition was amazing. I sat on the edge of my seat as the women's gymnastics team vaulted for the gold. As Kerri Strug was preparing for her famous second vault, my brother rudely interrupted me and asked me if I would like some Pringles. Why would I want some Pringles at the most crucial moment in Olympic history? Luckily for me, the women did go on to win the gold, and my brother never again asked me if I wanted some chips during a sporting event.
When I think of sports on the estrogen/testosterone level, I find that girls are more emotional to what is going on toward the game than their male companion. When I watch a basketball game, I will groan and grit my teeth when KU is behind with a minute left on the clock in the sweet-16. Even when they are ahead, my eyes are glued to the television watching relentlessly as "my boys" score yet again.
Yeah, when their teams are behind, the men will grit their teeth and groan. I find that when the team is ahead, men are more concerned about running out of their buffalo wings and beer than actually making sure the team wins by a hundred. The obscenities the men yell out now are not pointed toward the television, but toward each other. If their team is bound to win, the men have the attention span of a 3-year-old at a carnival; especially when their buddies are around.
As a female, I encourage men to feel uniquely special when their woman is interested in sports. Although a woman may beat a man in a sports trivia game, this competition is bound to lead to an extra interest level in the relationship. The sports woman will not be tugging at the man's shirt asking what happened. She will not need to be clarified on the rules.
My advice to men who have a sports-loving woman is to keep her. She knows what she is talking about and maybe she can explain to a man how the whole sports lingo works. Even so, men may need to get a robot for the buffalo wings, because the women will be busy watching the game.
