After coming off a win against Highland two weeks ago, the Busters' spirits were high, and they were excited that they would get a shot at revenge against Coffeyville.

Their spirits were forsaken, though, as the Red Ravens routed the Busters 41-20. The Busters have not missed the conference championship game since 1994; though the Busters were defeated, they still have a shot at a bowl game.

The Red Ravens only put up three points in the first quarter, but the Red Ravens returned a blocked punt in the second quarter giving them a ten-point lead.

By half time, the Busters found themselves staring at a scoreboard reading 24-0.

The second half proved just as fatal as they gave up 17 more points. Kay Jay Harris stepped up the intensity in the second half and busted a seventy-yard run in the fourth quarter and then scoring on the next play from seven yards out.

Harris also returned a kick for 89 yards and put the Busters on their opponents five-yard line. Harris' intensity proved ineffective.

The Busters had six turnovers in the game.
