"The first game went really well, then we coasted," Jeff Sanders, head coach, said. "We played them point for point for a while and then we put them away at the end."
Sanders was disappointed by the strength of the game.
"Game two didn't have much intensity, but they picked it up in the end," Sanders said. "During game three, the women served tough."
The women also competed against Dodge City, Oct. 30.
"This game was kind of blah," Sanders said. "We knew that we were better than them, so we coasted."
This coasting led the team to a close game in the second match, but the Busters won the match 30-27.
Although this game had close matches, it was a breather for the women.
"We didn't play very hard, which helped the girls stay healthy and rest," Sanders said.
Although the girls were able to rest, there were a few notable plays from the Busters.
"Leshawn [Phillips, Giddings, Texas] had 19 kills," Sanders said. "Myshara [High, Lubbock, Texas] had 17 kills and Anna [Bellum, Albequerque] had 12 kills."
Sanders said another player who has been outstanding is Stormi Harvey, Lubbock, Texas.
"Stormi has had 50 assists in three games," Sanders said. "As of now she is ranked number two in the country for assists."
The next playoff game for the Busters will be Nov. 9 against Independence.
"We have to get better in a few days of practice," Sanders said. "My goal is to win the regional championship."
