Students now have access to a variety of academic information online, such as grades, a course catalog, and one's academic record.

Through the college website, students can log in and view information about one's college career without having to visit an adviser or the business office.

This branch of the website was launched a month ago, and is constantly updated with new information and schedule changes.

Students have access to: a biographical section, containing the personal information from one's admission forms as well as contact information for one's adviser.

Access also includes class schedules for the current semester; one's academic record, including previously completed credit hours and courses; a course catalog to aid in schedule planning; financial aid information; a course and fee statement; and a GPA projection system.

Mary Wilson, director of computer services, said she hopes more students begin to use the website as a tool to aid them through their college planning.

"I want people to use the technology," Wilson said. "The only way [students] are going to know is if we tell them about it. I just wish more information was getting out."

Wilson said that the computer service department hopes to continue adding new ways of accessing information through the college website, but students must ensure they are taking care when accessing personal information.

To log in, a student's username is their student ID number, and the password is one's birth month and year (last two digits only). Students must close the browser when finished. Students have the opportunity to alter the password through the website. If one forgets one's password, it can be reset by speaking with

DeAnna Mann, institutional research, or Laura Walker, secretary. Mann and Walker's offices are located in the administration building.
