This just isn't the kind of thing to miss! The Kansas State Fair happens just once a year with 10 full days of fun. The 'Party on the Prairie' offers competitive judging, free stage entertainment, free special events and grandstand shows.

The Kansas State Fair will take place Sept. 5 through14 in Hutchinson. Fair goers will find performances by B2K, Evanescence, Aaron Tippin, Rascal Flatts, Meat Loaf and more.

Free copies of the daily schedule of events for the 2003 Kansas State Fair Party on the Prairie are available at the Fair office, Farm Bureau county offices, Dillon Stores, and Kwik shop locations statewide. The 'Party Planner' brochure displays a map of the fairgrounds showing each of the exhibit buildings, the free stages, locations of the major free attractions, and the route of the Kwik Shop tram that provides free transportation around the grounds.

Those who pick up the party planner will also find several opportunities to get more out of their entertainment dollar and a slate of activities that are absolutely free. Adult admission is $6 at the gate, children's tickets ages six through 12 are $3 and senior citizens tickets are $4 at the gate. The purchase of outside gate admission through September 4 save $2 on adult tickets and $1 on children's and senior citizen's tickets. Outside gate admission tickets can be purchased in advance form the Fair ticket office at any Dillon Stores. For added convenience, tickets can also be purchased online at www.kansasstatefair.com.
