Auction surpass goal/ Finding Inner Peace
Issue date: 5/11/06 Section: Front Page
A main news article on page 6 of the April 27 issue of the Silhouette contained inaccurate information. Keller Leopold Insurance donated $1,500 to the Endowment Association to be used toward the purchase of the 2006 Pontiac Solstice.
Also, Doug and Trish Keller have donated several items to the auction in the past; however, this was the first time they, along with Todd Small, Doug and Kelly Law, Jay Benson and the Rio Grande Club, donated a trip to Rio Grande. The associate sold an additional 100 tickets this year for the car drawing for 800 tickets total.
The special feature pertaining to Lance Garrison on page 4 of the April 27 issue of the Silhouette misidentified Garrison's instructor.
Dennis Elam, a seventh-dan black belt, and not Kent Kolbeck, is Garrison's instructor. According to Kolbeck, this is because he is a first-dan black belt.
A sensei must be at least two levels above their students' level.
The Silhouette staff regrets these errors.
