A spring choir concert performance is set for Thursday, May 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium in the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building. Admission is free to the public.
The choir will perform selections from notable musicals such as "Phantom of the Opera." The college singers will entertain the audience with many solos from the same musicals.
"It is different from other concerts most are used to," Clay Wright, director of vocal music, said. "Instead of the singers on risers there will be movement to the singing, somewhat of choreography."
Accompanying the choir will be an instrumental ensemble, consisting of a collection of instructors, professionals, and local residents.
