Symphony concert

The Garden City Symphony is presenting a public concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 14, featuring a selection of pieces from the classics, conducted by Bruce Spiller, who directs the Southwest Kansas Music Academy.

The program is scheduled in the auditorium in the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building; admission is $5 per person. Tickets are on sale at the Arts Center on Main and will also be available at the door. Admission is free for students and children.

Musicians throughout the Garden City area make up the symphony.

Soloists will include Tom Lee, clarinet; Heidi Berg, horn; and Susan Tarwater in the bassoo
