Web page class to begin in October

The Continuing Education and Community Services Division will be hosting a two-session workshop on creating a web pages from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 4, and from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 7, all in Room 2017 in the Student and Community Services Center.
The non-credit course is designed to show participants how the Internet works and what tools are available for creating websites.
Those attending will also learn how to get a personal website address and get the site up and running, discover how to code a page in simple HTML and CSS, and the basics of web page design.
Steve Thompson will conduct the class. He has earned a number of certifications from Microsoft and is an instructor at GCCC. He also builds websites, writes software, fixes computers and serves a consultant when not teaching.
The fee is $60 per person. Information and registration are available by contacting cecs@gcccks.edu or calling 620-276-9647.
