Forensics and Debate

Forensics and Debate will have a team traveling to Harvard on Oct. 5 to compete against several Ivy League schools from the eastern Seaboard. The students included are Andrew Moorman and Bryce Friesen.



Newman Club

Newman Club is a Catholic Student Organization for Catholics and non-Catholic alike. Officers of the club will receive a stipend, and several service projects and social activities are being planned. A state conference will take place in Topeka in February, for students from many colleges gather for a weekend.

Anyone interested in joining may contact Carol Heinemann in the Library at extension 511 or Tessy Thykkuttathil in the basement of the Student and Community Services building at extension 405.



Block & Bridle

Block & Bridle elected new officers for 2006-2007. Lindsey Cossman, president, Rylan Walters, vice president, Becki Wilkerson, secretary/treasurer, Danny Koons, Freshman president, Mandy Rollins, SGA representative, Tami Oberheim, SGA alternate representative.

B&B will be selling the "Naked and Hungry" T-shirts this fall for a fund raiser.

The GCCC Rodeo Team will have their first rodeo on Sept. 29 in Colby and will then go on to Pratt Oct. 6.

The GCCC Meats Team will have their first contest on Oct. 1 at the Tyson plant in Holcomb and will travel to the American Royal contest on Oct. 15 in Emporia, Kan.
