Exploration Day offers high school students taste of GCCC

Hundreds of Southwest Kansas High School students are expected to attend GCCC's Exploration Day Wednesday, Oct. 15. The event is to focus on career opportunities for the 21st century.
Exploration Day, for high school juniors and seniors, will provide information presentations on 10 specific career areas including agribusiness, animal and meat science, automotive technology, cosmetology, criminal justice and the EMST.
Others include fire science, industrial technology, John Deer Agriculture Technology Program, nursing and careers in allied health.
Principal instructors and counselors in Kansas high schools have received information about Exploration Day, which drew between 350 and 400 students to the campus last year from 20 high schools.
