The Buster Harriers placed four runners on the all region team at the Region VI Championships, Oct. 26. Dane Steward, Plains, Mont., and Nolan Realbird, Billings, Mont., made the men's team.

"It's nice to be on the all region team, but I feel that we could do a lot better as a team," Steward said. "I would really rather be on the all national team."

Leticia Padilla, Hugoton, Kan., and Kate Dibbern, York, Neb., made the women's team. The runners had to place in the top 15 at the Region VI meet hosted by Johnson County Community College, Oct. 26 to earn this honor.

Both the men and women's teams placed fourth. Butler County swept both of the team titles.

"Both teams competed hard and did their best of what we asked," Dan Delgado, head cross country coach, said.

The Buster's will be running in the NJCAA championships Saturday in El Paso, Tex. Both Buster teams have goals heading into nationals.

"We want four women runners under the 20 minute mark and two other under the 21 and a top 10 finish as a team." Delgado said. "The goal for the men's team is to beat Cowley and Johnson Country, two teams I thought we should have beat at the Region VI meet."
