What is that beeping noise? 7 a.m.? It can't be your alarm already… you just fell asleep no more than two hours ago, or so it seemed.
You jolt out of bed realizing that you have a Biology exam in less than an hour and you still haven't completed that homework assignment for your 9 a.m. philosophy class. You search for a pen to write a reminder about that thing you volunteered for at 10 a.m. and try not to forget to call mom and ask her to put some money in your account because you've hit rock bottom with your funds after traveling for school and losing much needed hours off your time card at work. You suddenly realize the scholarship deadline is today while you're choosing a pair of socks from off your floor that don't reek so bad to wear one more day before doing weeks old laundry. Looks like you'll have to cancel your lunch date. A Pop-Tart and Red Bull will have to do for today.
It's 7:54 a.m. and you're waiting for the windows on your car to defrost, thinking about the obstacle course ahead of you, which gets your heart racing.
It's so exhausting, but once you finished your Biology exam, you think you may finally have some time to slow down. That is until an assignment is handed to you on your way to another class… due next Monday. There goes the weekend. Hopefully you'll remember to cram it into the corner of your agenda.
As your daily schedule becomes more and more hectic, the light at the end of the tunnel, also known as Christmas break, approaches.
Oh, but we do have Thanksgiving break approaching. Finally, a break to catch up on projects, essays and assignments before finals week, scrounging for any extra work you may do to bring that 79.3% up just one more point.
In the meantime, your instructors are entering grades, catching up on his or her own aura of stress.
Before you know it, we're back in class. Two weeks until finals. Not to mention the papers, projects, deadlines, and appointments. So much for catching up with family and friends.
