Saffell Library is introducing a new leased leisure reading collection for students, faculty, staff, and Southwest Kansas residents.
Library Director Trent Smith initiated the collection with 21 books. Throughout the course of the year, it will expand that to 130. The collection will be maintained by adding several new titles on a monthly basis.
Among the first titles are "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on reclaiming the American Dream," by Barack Obama; "Farewell Summer" by Ray Bradbury, and John Grisham's new release, "The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town." People who want to review the complete list of books may visit www.gcccks.edu, go to the library page and click on Catalog, then on B & T Leased Leisure Reading.
"This gives more chances for readers to enjoy the new titles that are always checked out due to popularity," Smith said.
